I have two separate domains that I express a professional mastery of; IT/IA and photography. This area focuses more specifically on the IT/IA portion of my professional work, as my photography already has its own page, here.

I have a strong systems background, academically and experientially, first starting as a systems administrator and working through that into a systems engineer, and finally a systems architect. I’ve worked for tiny companies where I was the only “IT guy”, and I’ve worked for large companies where I worked diligently to distinguish myself from my peers. My approach to IT and IA is complimentary and holistic: you have to have good processes and policies governing properly implemented and secured technology. When you have one without the other, there are weaknesses and soft spots that can be the focal points of attack on your systems. I have experience writing policy and implementation documentation that you can view in my writing samples.
